At 27p per capsule these are not cheap. There are quite a few others a under 10p a capsule. As to what the difference is between these are do not really know. I’m not convinced it is because the addition of Black Pepper as that is available everywhere i.e. everyone has black pepper at home.Some have added turmeric as well. Which again should be in most people’s kitchens and possibly diets.Other than that they are normal capsule size and hence easy to swallow with no real aftertaste - The capsules are about 6.5mm diameter and 19-20mm longSo, as such it is hard to justify any price over the basic capsules with similar strengths.As such I have taken these supplements for several weeks now and it is difficult at the moment to be sure if I have had a positive response to them or not. However, the science says there is a benefit taking Ashwagandha as a supplement. Maybe it takes several months for some people to see a notable change.

This Ashwagandha supplement of 60 off 1000 mg Capsules with Black Pepper (a 2-month supply) by Vegan Vitality came in a totally opaque bottle which protects the contents. The lot number and best-before date are printed on the top of the cap which gives greater assurance of accuracy than a stick-on label. The bottle also has a seal under the cap. In my case, the capsules would expire in 32 months, an ample period for their use. It also has no artificial additives.Having been amazed at the wide-ranging effects of Ashwagandha, as experienced for thousands of years by Ayurvedic practitioners, I have tried a few Ashwagandha capsules and have noticed a consistent improvement in the stability of my energy levels although the effect on my sleep varies.So, I was interested to try this Vegan Vitality supplement since it includes black pepper. I was aware that black pepper vastly increases the absorption of turmeric which is otherwise poorly absorbed but was unaware that black pepper could be used to increase the absorption of Ashwagandha. So, I researched the matter. It turns out that black pepper has been known in Ayurvedic medicine to increase the absorption of Ashwagandha in the bloodstream. It does this by inhibiting certain “metabolising enzymes” in the liver and thus allows more Ashwagandha into the bloodstream. In fact, black pepper has been used to increase the absorption of many herbs. Vegan Vitality have added bioperine which is a black pepper extract containing about 95% of peperine, the active compound of black pepper. Note that black pepper itself has many positive effects including anti-inflammation and anti-bacterial amongst others. So, in my opinion, Vegan Vitality is to be commended for adding black pepper to enhance the effects of Ashwagandha.Not having taken this supplement for long, I cannot pronounce on its effectiveness yet but this does not concern me as supplements can take weeks and months to have an effect. However, I do know that black pepper and Ashwagandha in the proper doses are good separately and together.As these capsules are manufactured in the UK and thus comply with UK standards and are a 2-month supply at a reasonable price, I recommend them. 5 stars.

Easy to swallow, non-flavoured capsules, i take two a day as directed. The item arrived on time and in full. The bottle seems to be the right size for this number of capsules and is recycleable.

I am familiar with Ashwagandha's products. I have been using them repeatedly for many years and have proven very effective. This bottle comes with a two-month supply (60 capsules) and recommended one capsule per day. I like that the formula is vegan-friendly, so it's available for almost everyone. I have been taking them for over a week now. They help maintain my stress level without any side effects and help me sleep well.Overall, it works very well for me; it is reasonably cheap. I suggest adding a childproof lid to keep it safe from young children.

Easy to swallow with a brew, not so easy to swallow with cold liquids, helps boost my stamina, helps me feel less tired whilst working out. Still better to have natural ingredients. Doesn't taste of anything as I have not had any problems.

So far I haven't noticed any difference. Will finish the container and if there's still no difference unfortunately I won't be having again.

These capsules are large and have a very strong tangy taste to them. they havent repeated on me yet which is always good. good value for money considering the amount you get in a bottle. I take these 2 x a day with food

I highly recomment trying this supplement. But stick with it as it can take a month or so to feel the effects. No unpleasent side effects. This particular one is potent and effective.

As a vegan, I have been taking multivitamins daily by Vegan Vitality (from Amazon) for over four years and I can always tell if I forget to take them for a few days so Vegan Vitality, as a UK brand, is familiar to me. These ashwagandha supplements are slightly pricier than some others but I prefer to take supplements by a brand I trust and know.I haven't taken ashwagandha before but as with any supplements, I would advise that you read up as much as you can before taking them to see if the benefits and possible side effects will work for you. It's early days yet but I am hoping these will help in the way I intend them to.I also take a number of other supplements so I find it useful to have a break occasionally when I first start taking a supplement to see how it affects me. There are some supplements that I have figured out exactly how they help and they become a mainstay in my daily routine.

The Vegan Vitality Ashwagandha High Strength 1000mg Capsules arrive in a plastic bottle with a tamper/freshness seal, the cap is not childproof.You get 60 capsules and the recommended dosage as per the instructions is 1 capsule per day which means the bottle gives you a two month supply. Ashwagandha is claimed to have some health benefits and to help with stress/insomnia, which are two things I suffer from, so I was happy to try this supplement out to see if it made a difference.I can't honestly say that I've noticed a difference after taking these for a few days but I may need to give it some more time.At the time of writing this review (04/06/2024) the Vegan Vitality Ashwagandha supplement is priced at £21.99 which is almost double the price of similar Ashwagandha supplements that have the same or a higher strength amount of Ashwagandha in up to a 6 month supply.As I've not noticed any difference personally yet and based on the price compared to the cheaper/stronger alternatives, I'm uncertain if I can recommend this supplement and would also like to say that it's really important to check with your healthcare provider before taking any supplement, especially if you have any existing conditions or are on any form of medication.
